Oh wow! I want to play! ๐Ÿ˜€ What is your favorite card game? ๐Ÿ™‚

The April 2009 issue of Animage really was a good investment ๐Ÿ™‚

Errr… my two equally favorite games are very French ๐Ÿ˜€ (belote and French tarot to name them) but I love cards games in general.
    Well, what’s yours ?

Nothing is better than bataille corse.

Sure, if you’re not worried about breaking a finger or two ๐Ÿ˜€
Maybe I just played with overly enthusiastic people.

Oh yeah! My favorite game is similar to Belote ๐Ÿ˜€ The king and queen pair is the key to declaring the trump suit. If I recall, hears declaration gives the most points and spades – the lowest. One of the most interesting parts of the game is estimating how much you aim to take. You can go with the minimal points based on the betting and play safe, or you can claim a higher number based on your calculations how others will play. Things can get tricky if you have king and queen of two suits ๐Ÿ™‚

I never tried French Tarot though.

Sounds great ! How is it called ?
You should try French tarot (well, maybe it’s easier said than done ?). You have to estimate your points too (skip what comes next if you already know about it). The most interesting game is with five player ; when you’re the taker, you call one of the kings and the person who has it is your partner, except he/she can’t say a thing and must wait for the occasion to play his/her king. So until then you don’t know whether to give points to someone or not, you can only guess based on how everyone plays.
And it’s got fancy cards too ๐Ÿ˜€
Full detailed rules (in English) here : http://www.pagat.com/tarot/frtarot.html

I should stop here, I could go on forever ๐Ÿ˜€

If I recall, it is called 500. There are many versions of that game.

Oh, French tarot sounds quite interesting. It seems you have to evaluate carefully how people play ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for that link – I’ll study it ๐Ÿ™‚
