Santos-san, he is so handsomu

November 11, 2008

All of you who learn japanese with “Minna no Nihongo” have heard about him. He is the king of all characters in language textbooks. He has taken the over-articulate-and-talk-slooooowly affliction of his type on a whole new level. He looks so stupid you wonder where they dug him out from (he’s probably Snow White’s eighth dwarf, the one who left before they got famous). He has this beautiful unlikely wife whose special ability is to be awed by spoons.

Introducing Jose Santos in his wonderful adventure, « I’ll have coffee at my neighbours’ » :

Next time (maybe), a review of his fellow gaijin Miller-san and his Chotto~ Failure or “How To Get Turned Down, But Always Politely !”.

Francis, if you don’t like japanese you can go and wait for all the japanese get your back -not in the good way- . i don’t remember anyone asking your opinion about japanese. You may not like it, but you have no right to insult anyone who learns japanese, who wants to learn japanese or who already knows japanese. who do you think you are? all those “weird” people are much more better than you, coz they know and they learn. plus, they don’t judge anyone for learning a language. i hope you’ll get your ass kicked this week. >< kthxbai.

This is hilarious. Let me explain.

I realize I should have responded to Francis’ comment. It is easy to interpret it as you did, Miyako, but (fortunately for Francis) it’s something else entirely.

He’s actually a friend of mine (I mean a friend, not “I saw him once at a party and friended him on Facebook LOL”) and it was kind of an ongoing joke between us. I won’t go through all the reasons why he’s not what you think he is, because that would be boooooring.

Just a few things though. Last time I checked, weird wasn’t so insulting a word. And that post is like, two years old. And that blog is kinda dead. I don’t get why you felt compelled to write that comment but, like they say, whatever floats your boat.

You’ve got to admit these videos are pretty stupid though, but that’s what make them awesome. Santos-san ❤
